Ok I was just looking at my 34g tank and I swore it looked like the stand was leaning.. and I just held a level up to it and it is, the whole stand is leaning slightly left the top is still level, I dont know what I'm going to do with it....

Uh oh!!!!!!! That sounds bad! Do you think maybe it has always had a slight lean??? Like the floor may be uneven???

OMG!! thank god I just went and took pictures after I took them I looked down and my clownfish was on the ground!!! :scry: I quickly put him back in and he just floated for a minute and then hurried down in the rock.. idk how he got out thers only two tiny holes in the corner of the tank in the shape of a triangly no more then an inch. You can even see him in the picture..

Was that bought as a tank stand or is it a peice of furniture you had.
It doesn't look to sturdy.I would get something else soon.It would not take much to have that all over the floor.
It looks fine from the side but the front is scary. It has no solid structure to it!
No cross members.

It doesnt look nearly as bad as it does in the picture, anyways my roommate is a carpender (sp) anyways I really dont want to take that tank off again I just moved it!. And the tank and stand were bought together. If I can drain it enough to lift the tank off and just beef up the stand I will

The tank looks slanted. If the stand is slanting to one side because of the an uneven floor, that would explain the door being crooked. What you could do is lower the water level of the tank, then try to level out the tank stand with a few shims, or thin strips of some sort. Not sure how sturdy that stand is.

If you say so!:22:
What worries me is if it gets bumped from the side.
If its store bought and it came with the tank then it should be ok.I like the idea of having it beefed up.

Its a 34g Solana Aquarium with Stand.. well tomorrow I might move the tank to the corner of my family room instead of in the middle of the kitchen and try to beef up the stand, it sat in my old place for a month no problem.. it really could be the floor its nice tile but it was horribly layed.

Still cant believe my clown tried to kill himself :scry:

it is likely possible to beef the stand up using metall supports without having to remove any water

Just looking at the gap between the door and the drawer scares me.
Does it wobble when you push on it?

no it doesnt budge. I'll have to go look but I was thinking about maybe taking some large bolts through the back of the stand (if theres a support) and into a stud in the wall

Ok I never want to do that again, moving a tank twice in a week :spam: but I drained most of the tank and took the rock out and removed the tank. Upon further inspection of the stand I tightened all the bolts (not all were tight stupid on my part for not checking since I bought the stand assembled) and I added two big metal L brackets inside and about 10+ screws in places I thought needed them. Put the tank back on in its new location and refilled it with the same water, man what a PITA to get the rock just how you like it lol. I'll take new pictures when its not super cloudy. BTW the door is lopsided on top which is why it looked so off

Wow, that is a lot of work Kyle, but good job!

I know what you mean about rock, it seems like you can never get it back the way you had it before.
