My biggest Peacock got stuck in the rocks LOL. I wasn't seeing him feed, so I broke out the flashlight and low-and-behold, there he was. Wedged in between the glass and a rock. There goes a $50.00 fish!
No more adult purchases from now on, it's strictly juveniles. Shame, it's been a long time since I lost a cichlid!
Moment of silence please LOL

OH, NO, that's a real shame mate. It would be good if there was some sort of brain food you could feed em. lol.
How's all the rest of them going Mith?
Both tanks are awesome! I think the 50g is cycled finally too. If I'm not mistaken, my amonia's gone! Can't wait to pull the sword tails out of the nursery and drop in some cichlid babies! I've got about four cichlids holding as we speak LOL.
Its fun watching the babies grow isn't it Slimey!!!!

Even juvies grow up and get stuck. :) Ya gotta give them enough space so they don't get stuck.

Thats too bad Mith!
I do agree with Lady Hobbs about moving anything that can trap a fish, even if its just an inch.

Sorry for your loss. Now that I think about it I have a nice hole in one of my rocks and GBRs when grown up can definitely get stuck in there... Hm-m-m-m. i should prolly remove it before (not gonna be $50 loss, but still would suck).

Sorry about the loss!
I've actually been thinking about moving the rocks from the rear to the middle of the tank. You know, a new look! Hmmmm, that might just be what the Dr ordered!

It sure is mate, i can't believe how quick they grow, i reckon my swords have nearly doubled in size already.
Those young cichlids you have would be great to have a look at, you must be doing something right with your tank now mate, it sounds like it's going great.thumbs2:
Tonight I think I'll rearrange my rocks to the center of the tank so there's no more possibilities of having another trapped fish. I wonder what the tank will look like with all the rocks in the middle.....hmmmm.....
