The people sound REALLY like trailer trash. Im not saying all people who live in trailers are trash, cause trailers are cool, but i saw a pic of the tank, and its good, but over the phone i got the kid first and she said she'll get her mom and her mom was like "who the hell is it"? And over the phone, you could hear her hack up one mighty fine furball.

Sheesh, why don't you just get a big tank instead of ten 10g's lol.

i dont know why i like small tanks. For some reason i like having a bunch of small tanks instead of one big one like Jeff.

You know those old hamster habitats? Make one for fish. That is my plan.

King Fin Fish is what it is, not kin fish. read it too fast. What the hell is it? its bugging me.
Drumachine, diy project since you mentioned hamsters. Lets build a scuba kit for a hamster for a tank.
One of my buddies is making a catapult. First thing he wants to put in- hamster.

Im down for the scuba idea. The catapult idea....not so much. Ive seen a hamster shot out of a potato gun. He was dead, but it was not a pretty sight when he hit the dumpster.

$50 bucks for a 10 gallon is too much money IMO.

for us here its a good deal. I cant find complete sets with everything for less than 100$ here, and this one comes with a good filter and gravel, wood, etc.

like seriously, i dont know whats up. You guys can get 10g sets for 60$, and here a hagen (the used one im buying) is 109.99, and the cheapest ive seen for a 10g set is 70$ but it was a really unknown brand.

yeah, but i guess you still get the better deal by about 30-40$
King Kin fish? Google didn't know either. What do they look like?
For the 10s, have you thought about buying just the tank locally and mail ordering the hood? I wonder if it would save any money.
I like 10s, too. They are fun.
So many people mail-order...and even I just mail-ordered some parrot supplies I can't get locally :(...
...but sheesh...when you figure in the hassle, S&H and the odd other expense, it's really not worth it if you have a choice...
I agree and disagree. I can get the same product for cheaper but have to wait longer. I don't think it is too much hassle though, but then again, you can't SEE the product you are purchasing, so it is a good idea to research anything you buy, hence the hassle as you suggest.
I guess it depends on where you live and what your LFS charges. I live in a VERY rural area and so don't have too much choice in the matter.

unless i can get a 10g for 5 bucks, and less that 30 bucks shipping, no way. Whats the point? you risk cracking the tank, and it takes long to come. If i want a used tank, i go to local classifieds or pawn shops often have cheap ones. The one i pick up tomorrow does come with the hood.
As for the king kinfish, the picture with the ad was vague. It only had the betta visible, then 2 gold lines( probably king kinfish), and the flying fox somewhere.
Ummm...I said get the tank locally and consider getting the rest mail order.
"For the 10s, have you thought about buying just the tank locally and mail ordering the hood? I wonder if it would save any money."
Of course you wouldn't order the tank via mail.

ohhh, i read to dam fast. lol
No problem! Yeah, can you imagine the shipping on something like one of the new allglass 210 gallon tanks? Wow.

picked it up. It was trailer you know what. They had the 10g and a 30g, and i thought the 30g was in good condition, so this tank was. When i got it home and added water, CRAP STEW. I cant believe the betta was healthy. I let that gizmo of mine that filters crap but lets the water back in for 20 min, still some crap. As for what the kinfish was, it looks like a kinda goldy black zebra danio.
As for what broke on the way, i was in a rush since a car was waiting for me to move and the glass cover got pwn3d, but the light fits without the glass so i dont care.
Makes me so mad when people have pets and don't know how to take care of them. Overstocked aquariums, people asking dumb questions like "gee I just don't understand--I put a pirhana in my tetra tank and now all of the tetras are gone." Dumb people doing dumb things.
Mind you, I don't mean you, I mean the people from whom you got your tanks!

their 30g looked good, but this 10g was pretty messy. I cant believe the betta doesnt have fin rot yet.

OMG, that was scary. first, the betta was flaring at the pictures of fish in the background, then i couldnt find the flying fox. I was hunting for it, couldnt find it. Checked the floor, checked the other tanks to see if i was sleepwalking or something and switched tanks, and 20 min later, he was in a part of the boat decoration i couldnt see.
...have you figured out what the Unknown Zippy Guy is yet?...
...and post a pic...luv to see your new acquisition...

the unknowns is like a tetra, clearly a baby, silver with a black spot.
I save about 100-150$ from each paycheck for my fish, so yesterday i saved 110$ for fish, and the tank was 50$, so today im going out to get plants, ghost shrimp, and other decor stuff. I want to add another fish or two, like maybe 3 corys, but my betta is so dam grumpy i dont think i can
