Hey guys, I have a cave that I bought a few years ago for my green anole in my FW tank. I have a pleco in there right now and he is frequently seen in there sucking away. I will be returning him to my LFS next week, but I still don't want him to get sick.
I think I read somewhere that repltile caves were bad because they could raise PH levels. I did a water change yesterday and tested the water:
Ammonia: 0
NitrIte: 0
NitrAte: 20
I have no way of testing the PH, but the cave has been there since I set up the tank close to 2 months ago. I haven't lost any fish after I found out about the cycling process and the test came out clean.
I have 5 neon tetras in there that will be transferred to my 20g when it's done cycling and as I mentioned I pleco.
