Only two for now. Girls. Then I will probably get one more girl and a boy, unless they have been exposed to males, in that case I will wait to see if they throw any fry.

Well my first three Amecas are settled in and doing well. I am going to get a few more from him. He gave me 3 for $6.00. They are juvenile though, so I done know if they are boys or girls yet. Will post pics when I get some. They really are pretty juvies.

Picking up some more Amecas today. I will get three more this aft and that will be 6. I will get some plants too. Here is what is irritating. I gave my DP(Dwarf Puffer) to Big Als because of the fact that I was downsizing and the fact that I could not get the snails that she loved to eat. The only place that would even think of selling me pond snails was big Als and they only had Malaysian Trumpets. The puffer found them a bit of a challenge and didn't eat them. So all I could get into her was bloodworms and the odd ghost shrimp( really cruell process, don't ask.)

So the other day, I went to pick up my first amecas and wouldn't you know, the guy selling them has three big livebearer tanks FULL of the freakin' snails I couldn't find for the life of me. GRRR. I miss my little Puffer. She was one of the coolest little fish I have ever owned.

Any how, I will try to post some pics tonight and finally let those of you who have never seen a juvenile Ameca Splendens in on how pretty they are.
