I been adding ammonia for the past few months. Tank is cycled, been adding it everyday. Over the past couple weeks I have been noticing brown stuff growing on some of the glass, filter casing, heater surface and on the top layer of gravel.
Is this something thats gonna harm the fish once I get them. Reason I don't have fish yet is I am about to move soon and didn't want to take the chance on killing any fish.

It's just Diatoms. They appear in new tanks first. Only cure is patience. Once the Diatoms use up the silicate they are using to build their shells they will fade away within a couple weeks, unless, of course, you have silicates in your tap water.
You can easily scrape them off the glass if they bug you, but like I said, they will all go away over time.

ok cool, I was worried something funky was growing that would harm any fish I may get. Its easy to clean off the glass and stuff but the gravel is hard to clean.

I have some in all my tanks. Love them. They are a great cleaning crew!
