Sorry I keep posting this stuff, but I'm reading as much as I possibly can about building your own tank. I found this thread on monsterfishkeepers.com today, and I think this tank looks amazing! Especially considering the costs

The wood is the cheap part, most expensive pieces (other then filtration/etc) will be the glass or acrylic windows.
I really like his finished product though. Looks like something you would pay thousands for!
Def lot of blood/sweat & tears involved, but hell it's a 600G tank!
This guy used fiberglass on his. In some other threads I saw people using a brush on gel/rubber of some sort. They built up like 8 coats. I'm still researching as to which method is the best (in the long run that is). I will keep researching, and def keep everyone posted. I will be sure to log my DIY tank here. Might even start building before we move. Got some spare room in the shed to play ;)
