well, ive come to a hard decision.
After looking at my lfs and my 10g, i think i may trade my cichlids in my 10g cichlid tank. The krib, auratus, and brichardi have grown tremendously in my care, and i feel that a 10g is no longer sufficient for what could be a larger tank for them.
I would then take my betta and place him in the 10g. I love my cichlids dearly, but i dont have room to get them a larger tank, and am left for no other choices.
Good decision?

Sounds like a very good decision for the health and happiness of your fish.
What is your betta currently in, is there any reason why he can't stay there and you can try something else in your 10g......maybe dwarf puffers:hmm3grin2orange:

LOL @ Kimmer and the puffers that is just too funny!
I guess if you don't have the room for a bigger tank then you did the right thing. Maybe Kimmer is on the right track tho...why not do something else with the 10 gal.? What is wrong with the Betta's home that he is in now? you could even buy a divider for the 10gal and get another betta too.

the bettas in a 2.5g right now. I dont think I can get a divider unless i make it since its a 9.75g tall tank. I an always wait and see if i get a bigger tank for the cichlids.

Neither of the above. MTS man! Go for the 55! lol.
In all seriousness though, you did the right thing. It sucks having to return a fish that you've kept for so long (even though that auratus will take a piece of you with him :ezpi_wink1: ) but it's for the best....

the auratus is just too cute to get rid of. I guess maybe if i can put my krib in my 20g i can keep all 3. The krib seems peaceful enough.
