do ghost shrimp make alot of waste?
In my 20g (not the toad tank) i want to put in 10 ghost shrimp, and was wondering if they really contribute to the bio-load much

they're great for eating waste, i know that, and any leftover food that drops down. i have a bunch in my 75 gallon, and they level themselves off in terms of death according to the food supply.

ghost shrimp add almost nothing to the bioload, they eat all the leftovers that would usally rot, scavange anyother foods, and are generaly clean creatures, quite a load can fit into a tank without effecting the bioload much.10 would go well, except the gouramie, betta or shark might eat them, try a few at first, still there in a month or two, add more

Nah, they don't produce a whole bunch of waste.

You should be fine with 10. My largest concern would be predation though

I don't have an issue with predation in my tank. Whenever I'm watching, the tiny guppy fry seem to get along with them, but then again I make sure there is enough food for both the shrimp and the fry.

the tetras are really fast, the shark is fast, the gourami only becomes really visible during eating time, so i think i should be good. the platys are fast too.

I know shrimp arent the most agile creatures. Sounds like it should work fine. Good luck with it
