The tank is a 55 gallon mixed reef tank with a Koralia 2 and 1 currently running on it. I'm not sure if I should get another Koralia 2 or 1. I feel I need more flow, but not sure which one I should get.

Thanks for the opinions,
travie

What corals do you have? That will be the main determining factor.

SPS: 2 Monti. Caps, 1 Monti. Digi., and 1 Bird's Nest

LPS: Blastomussa, Frogspawn, Candy Cane, Favia, Maze Coral(can never remember what it is usually called)

Softies: 2 Green Hairy Mushrooms, Green Star Polyps, 2 Colonies of Palys, 2 Colonies of Zoas, 1 Ricordia, and Pulsing Xenia

Very mixed reef... I'll frag as necessary when they all start growing out. In respect to my lighting, they are placed appropriately.

What makes you think that you need more flow? Another 2 will definitely add more flow. I run 2 of them in my 65 currently and on their own they provide great movement.

I'd get another 2.

I'd leave it alone. 2 Koralia 2's will be too much for your Frogspawn and Candy Cane unless you have them very sheltered from the flow. I almost lost my favorite Candy Cane to my Koralia 3's in my 125. Remember, just because it dosen't look like it's moving a lot of water, a Koralia really does. They are a high volume low pressure powerhead.

I would defnitely just keep an eye on how things look in your tank. If they seem fine with your current flow levels then I'd leave well enough alone. I have a couple Candy Canes and Frogspawin my tank and I have a considerable amount of flow (2 x K2's and a Mag 9.5 return). Nothing in there seems to be suffering for it.

I have the exact same (2 k2 and a mag drive 9.5) on our 29 gallon, with torch, candy cane and frogspawn and all are doing well with no sign of damage. In fact the candy cane and frogspawn have been growing like crazy lately. I do have a lot of live rock which does help create low flow spots
