Nice looking tank! African rift lake setup I assume? Must be some very happy Mbuna cichlids in there. :19:

Yep they are quite happy.. and yes the rocks are placed well haha, they bottom rocks are sunk deep into the sand, and there is silicone holding certain pieces of it together.

I can rock the tank slightly back and forth with no movement of the rocks (except the top one which has nothing weighing it down).. I recently had to take it all apart so it looks slightly different then I originally had it..

beware to all of you who are trying to do a setup like this, it is very difficult to clean the substrate if you are using a narrow tank like my 55g is, and you will find yourself taking it apart to suck up the poop that your vacuum cannot get to.. be prepared.

There is actually a huge cave in the bottom right corner that you cannot see too well. It was made out of 3 large pieces of slate, one runs along the back of the tank, the other which you can see, runs along the side, and with a flat piece on top, all siliconed together, it makes a very sturdy cave.. (and a support for the rest of the tiers) if you look carefully you can see where I got a little silicone happy between the top and side piece.
