hello every i have a tank thats 3ft by 1 ft tank i had it set up for about half a year now all the water quality is good. today i was cleanin things up n that and i turnt over a rock and noticed i little worm type thing crawlin on the rock it look abit like a centurpead it had a red head n brownish body. in my tank ive got 2 comon clowns 2 yellow taild demsails 6 turbo snails thats it but ive only just brought 2 giant turbos and im thinkin it must of come with the snails eney 1 help pls

If so, it's a mantis shrimp. Get rid of it before it grows and kills everything in the tank.

i am by no means a saltwater guru, far from it actually! lol could it be a bristleworm though? i know there are traps specifically designed for them.

could be a bristle worm. i remember what i had was a little bug that looked like a cricket.

it does look liike that but this thing was about 1/2 an inch long and seem to move abit like a worm. the back of the body stayd were it was while the main bit of the body moved forwards to grab hold of more rock. so it is 1/2 inch long very small red head brownish body a bit hairy i only noticed it becouse it moved when i turnt the rock around other wise i wouldnt have seen it but it does look like that mantis shrimp and were do u think it come from i figer the snails do thay manerfest on snails.??:1:

yer thats the little bugger i got it strait out but im just waitin to find the next one now just read up on a web site about them dam criters thanks every 1 eney way uve been good help ive not been joint to this site very long but ima be back lol cheers peeps.:thumb:
