Bought this pair off Aquabid a couple weeks ago, they arrived here last week and were quarantined and I finally picked them up today:)

Beautiful- Congrats!! The male's coloring in the first pic looks like my blue plakat, but he lost all of his white and is now solid blue except for his lip. I love when they have light colored faces :)

Is it difficult/expensive to get them through customs?

Thanks:) I love his colouring too, will be interesting to see what babies they produce:)

I went through a transhipper, which made the whole thing very simple. I won the auction at Aquabid, paid the seller. The seller then contacted the transhipper in Bangkok, arranged to send the fish there. The transhipper in Bangkok received the fish and arranged for shipment to Australia. In Aus, the fish is received by the transhipper and quarantined for a week, before she let me know they were ready to pick up.

I wasn't involved in any of that, I just won the auction then waited for the email that said come and pick them up. Very simple:)

Wasn't very expensive either, $20 per fish to have them imported, which includes quarantine and all the paperwork etc.

Very cool, I always wondered how that whole transhipper thing worked!

Yeah, I would never have done it without the transhipper organising it all...

I have to correct myself tho, I think they are PK's which is what the tag on the container from the transhipper said as well. But on AB it said they were HMPK.

Doesn't matter of course, I still think they are perfect:)
