Alright time to call upon my experienced family here.

1. I need advice on the 60 tank I have sitting on my front porch. I have posted it on CL now for a month and there have been no bites. I was thinking about keeping it. Now the problem I had before was the seam all four sides started looking like it was getting white marks. I looked today and don't see anything. What can I do to see if it is going to leak? Also if I reseal it would I have to take the pane off or just the inner seam?

2. Another stocking question. My new 46 bow front is kind of bare (second one in the signature). I need to get at least 2 more tiger barbs. I would get more Odessa but the ones at petland haven't been looking to healthy. I would like something for the bottom but have to keep in mind George will eat anything small. So opinions on: What should I do to stock it more? More tigers, More Odessa and bottom swimmers... What about giant danios? How many of each? (I can get Odessa but it will take a while to wait for good stock to come in)

3. Do mollies need more than one or can they be alone. My platy and molly are best buddies but I would like a few more platy, would my molly be fine without another molly?

4. How many neon tetra and cory can you fit into a 20g Long together as the only fish without compromising the water? Thinking of getting a 28 bowfront for the Black skirts and use the 20 long for a school of neons.

Thanks!!! :22:

If you are worried about the silicone then replace it.You do not have to take it apart.
To test it leave it outside on a stable level surface and fill it up and leave it for a few days. You should be able to detect a leak.
Pics of the seams would help.

I will go look, but it looks pretty normal... Be back in a few.

Okay so I went out and looked. I can't see any spots. The one I did looks like maybe the silicone is a little thin and I'm seeing the light coming through. I tried to take photos but they won't show up... Just solid black.

Does the silicone look any better than this.

Northernguy, yes it is better.

Gayle you don't have to say your sorry... Any opinion is good to me :) I just want to be sure I don't over load the tank. I've got to "grow" my tetra schools.

So I think I will use the 60... Just need to figure out how to stock it... cichlids or tropical community...

I'm also getting a 28g...

And rearranging my room to have built ins around my window with the 20 long and 28... and the betta... and storage lol.
I think I figured out how to get everything to work out... Just need to have the last question answered.
