I need a new heater for my Betta tank, which is a six gallon. Not really sure which watt to get. I am not sure what is in there now. It doesn't say anywhere on it. :scry: Thanks! :ssmile:

I would go with a 25w heater. You need about 3-5wpg for heaters.

Just get the smallest possible.
How cold does the tank get?
I had to remove the heater in mine.It kept getting way to hot on low.
I do keep the beta tank beside my tower. It stays at about 74 whenever I look at it.

I think I'd go for the 50watt. Bettas need 80 degrees, or close to it. I bought a submersible 25watt that couldn't get the temp to 80...Will the heater have a setting that you can adjust to the temp you want?

Yep, I am going to get a Visi-Therm and they are adjustable.
