What fish supply stores do you recommed, or personally use?

Which ones have the best prices?
Which ones have the best selections?
Which ones can be trusted to order live fish and plants from?

I'm just curious.

I like Dr. Foster so far. I havent ordered anything from Big Als yet but as soon as I have an excuse to I will.

I also like That Pet Place, That Fish Place -its not the cheapest place, but the shipping is great value. Ordered something on a Wed, it was here Friday lunchtime and no special shipping request.

Live things - i've no clue but people use aquabid a lot

DrsF&S have been ok. If you get their catalog you can use your account number for a discount on your first order (or you used to be able to anyway). I've found that their S&H prices are a little elevated sometimes though.

Kens fish, and AngelsPLUS are good as well. They are more angelfish specific though.

I've ordered from drsfostersmith, you can usually find coupon codes for that site off of google. Can't really vouch for any others. I believe I ordered from another site but can't recall the name offhand.

I have had pretty good luck with this one too. I do shop around, though.

That Fish/Pet Place is local for me and has a huge selection of live fish, plants, etc. Another place to check out if you are still pricing around.

I like Pet Solutions. Have ordered from them numerous times and on the two occasions that something arrived damaged they sent a replacement with no problems. Didn't ask for the damaged item back either for proof. Don't think you can beat that for customer service.

I order from a variety of sites (6 or 8 different sites), and tend to go with which one has the best deal at the time or the one which has exactly what I need.

I also usually get certain items from certain sites (food from one site, filter media from another, lighting and other equipment from yet another, etc), mainly because the items I require aren't all at a single site.

Of these the clear regulars are foster & smith, bulkreefsupply and kensfish.

I like drsfostersmith as you can tweek the product number in the search box if it has 6 numbers and get some pretty discounts on supplies...and then you can find discount codes on google for so much off or free shipping. I also like the fact they dont charge you additional shipping on substrate and etc...comes in handy when setting up a tank. Usually bigals is cheaper for normal orders like food and dechlorinator tho.

I have ordered from Big Al's and Dr Fosters, but I recently had a very good experience with fish.com....yes fish.com. I was skeptical but the shipping was great and the prices were phenomenal. I bought some very expensive tank decorations for less than a dollar on clearance. Very good products too.

I attempted to order live fish from drs. foster and smith once until I realized you need a $35 minimum order on top of a $35 shipping charge... now I know better.. I have bought supplies and a co-worker of mine has used them for years, never any complaints... I don't think they have the lowest prices in town but they seem to have great service.

Nice find, fish.com does seem to have some good deals. Sponge filters are cheaper than I have seen elsewhere. Hopefully shipping isn't too much.
