I just picked up 4 chinese algae eaters yesterday. wonderful fish. all they seem to do is move around eating the algae. much more efficient then a pleco.
i also here siamise algae eaters are good. but they didnt have any
never liked CAE. I would go with bristlenose pleco or a oto. Can't go wrong there..

Bristle nose and rubber lip plecos are both excellent algae eaters.

sae are very difficult to find. That fish place that pet place in lancaster pa has some if you want to mail order and cant find them elsewhwere. They are the "true sae" variety.Im gonna pee some people off with recomending this but I have found the chinese algae eater to be every bit as good an algae eater as the sae but they dont eat the black brush type that the sae will. You could also go with a bristlenose plec,Ive not kept them but everyone here is always saying how wonderful of a job theres does.

True SAE [Only Registered Users Can See Links.]
great fish, fast shipping
maybe get a few Malaysian Trumpet snails to stir the sand

I have something that is a bit more exotic than an sae but does the job very efficiently. It is called a Prochilodus, and it comes in two species. A flagtail, and a silver. Either one, both are very peaceful. I think that would work well in your stocking and would definitely liven up the tank.

Bristlenose Plecos and Otocinclus would be my top choices.

Also with that big tank you should up your schools to at least 10 per species, but you could do more especially with neon's 30+.
Anyways to be on topic, Otocinclus catfish, get at least 6 they'll do better, or a bristlenose or 2. Make sure to have driftwood and vegetables if you get the pleco.

75 gal with only 2 otos~bet they're fat :) Get more, they'll be happier and your algae prob will be gone...Cameron's suggestion of 6 sounded good.

Yes, avoid buying fish if there are dead or sick looking fish in the tank for sure.
I second otos if the tank has been running for a few months.
Otos are awesome, I need to go pick some more up. (long story) But make sure you acclimate them along time, as in drip or water in the bag methond for at least an hour..
