Fry food

OK I've noticed that my guppy fry could care less for the food I give them. I'm using HBH Baby bites for guppys. Even the BN could care less about it.

Well for my main tank I use flake food from ]Ed's Almost natural tropical fish food ([Only Registered Users Can See Links.) (AWESOME stuff!) and Topfin Freeze dried bloodworms.

Well I decided to try my own mix of fry food. I crushed up some of the flake and a bit of bloodworms (about an 80%/20% mix) to just about powder.
Let me tell you these guys went nuts! lol Fry came out of every hiding spot and went to town. The litle bit I put in the tank was gone in seconds. lol

My only thought on this, the fry are a bit over 2 weeks old, would there be any kind of issues feeding fry this mix of "grownup" food? Also is there anything I should add to the mix?

As long as its crushed up No problem!
Watch for allergies when crushing blood worms,they can have a life threatening effect.

I think you will be fine feeding them that.
For my baby african cichlids just about a week old I crushed together pretty much every fish food I have and they love it.

My home made fry food includes

NLS Cichlid formula
NLS Thera +A
Hikari Cichlid Gold
Tetra Jumbo Krill
Algae Wafer
GoldFish flakes

All crushed ground together. These guys love this stuff.

Really? That I didn't know... I feed my guys that stuff all the time.
Like out of no where type death or would there be signs? I'm thinking of last week when I last gave them blood worms and my molly all of a sudden out of no where died.

I've thought about getting some brine shrimp or krill to add to the mix.

I believe NG meant for you, not the fish. He meant allergies to Bloodworms.

That mix should be just fine for the fry!!!
