The last few months have been interesting, stressful at times. But exciting for the most part. They're definitely changing as they get closer to a year old now.

I was kind of struggling for a while since my biggest oscar tooch has become evil. And the way I had my tank set up, it wasn't helping my little o since the bigger one would always bully my little guy. But now I have it perfect. Most of the plants and drift wood are in the center of the tank. Its the pad for my JD and my pleco. They chill in there when they want quiet. Meanwhile my little guy heff has the right side of the aquarium and tooch has the left. They can't see each other when they want their own space. But can go and swim around when they like. Its perfect!

Its interesting because tooch is psycho, a good fish, but nuts! I went in there, and moved a rock on her side, and she flipped out! She was trying to move this rock away from where I put it. I thought it was hilarious. So I went in there, got bit a few times since she was confused and angry by my previous decision. I moved the rock back to where it was, and she calmed down a bit. Still nipped at my hand a bit, but not all flarred up with a wide open mouth.

But then heff on the other hand, same age. A little smaller, he is sooo chill! I put my arm in there and he'll swim around my arm and my hand checkin out what I'm doing. Never shows sign of aggression towards me. I dig in the sand with my finger and he'll swim there looking to see what I find.

Its really cool, I try and spend alot of time with them since I had NO idea they would ever become this social-well and in toochs case, unique.
I read alot about oscars when I first got them, how they're just like any other pet. But to see them develope into these personable little animals is very cool!

Just sharring thumbs2: I love my fish

LOL Yup! Oscars are great fish!
Thats why I like them so much. Its like they want to play when you get near them. Its funny as hell when they move the tank around and then strut all over the place saying don't mess with it!

Thanks lol

Speaking of storys, this made me laugh.

My JD is shy, he'll come out to see whats goin on when I come to the tank just to be sure he's not missin out on food.

But for the most part he lays low, swims around the back, keeps to his little cave and in the bushes.

But one morning, my big oscar tooch was on a rampage, and heff hid behind some hornworts and my little jd was left right infront of this mammoth crazy fish. And he flarres his gills, opens his mouth, starts twitching back n fourth. He held his own for about a second before tooth darted at him and boom, he booked a 180 and was gone.

I was laughing so hard because it was a futile attempt, but a damned good one! Little dempseys got some kahunas.
