Why is it that every morning my crayfish are hanging out in or on top of the plants/decor?

They are looking for a way out?

They may be hunting!
I have seen them leap onto an unsuspecting fish and tackle them to the bottom or just get flipped off! They could also be trying to get out!

Like crabs, they do like to sit outside of the water every now and then. Perfectly normal.

The one in the 10G does try to get out, and he does hunt like that, but in the morning he's just hangin out. He'll be happier in the 29G once that's set up. Every crayfish I've ever owned I always found just hangin out in the plants in the morning.

I just thought of a reason why...they're eating fish eggs??? I think cherry barbs are scatterers, as are rainbowfish? I really don't care much about breeding.
