Help!

when i checked up on my goldfish in my aquarium
it had red-ish things on its fins and body,
can anyone tell me what it is?

This sounds like fin rot. What are your water parameters? I would do a 50% water change as soon as possible to eliminate any ammonia buildup. This will go away if you do this sooner or later.

are they red things hanging off its body, like worms.
red spots, like open sores.
or more like the skin under scales and around the gills is colored red, (no sores)

they're more like wounds or something.
or just red on its scales

just did 50% water change.

algenco is right. it's most likely from ammonia poisoning due to poor water quality. i know you jsut did a 50% water change but what is your usual water change schedule. what are your water perameters. so you test with strips or liquid testers and how often?
