Edit button?

Whatever happened to the edit button on the posts we make? I ended up having to double post a couple of times last night because I couldn't go back to my original post and edit to make a couple of corrections.

Hmmm . . . on this post I got the edit button. Is this function just a bit gimpy sometimes?

The edit button only lasts 10-15 minutes on posts. The only place that I can find where it is present full time is in blog entries.

Like Nic says you have 15mins to edit a post from when
you first make it!

Wierd . . . last night I don't think the edit button showed up at all on my posts. Thanks for the info though. Maybe I just overlooked it since it apparently seems to be working fine now.

I was just wondering if it is possible to lengthen the time allowed to edit your posts? 15 mins. sometimes just isn't enough time, for me anyway (blush)

We have discussed this as a Moderator team and have decided not to extend the time limit. It makes our job a lot harder when people can abuse the edit system to take out offensive comments before we get a chance to see them.
