Awesome close up!

A friend of mine is an engineer that studies surfaces. He wrote his thesis on the strawberry. Apparnetly the skin of the strawberry is one of the smoothest natural surfaces yet discovered.

It's the little box that they sell the strawberries in.

A tip I was given about picking strawberries... Look for the big deformed looking ones. Not the ones that go into a nice single point at the bottom, but the ones that sort of look like 2-3 berries squished up into one.

Large berries with this growth have the best flavour.

The strawberry farm I went to a couple times used to go through their fields to find all the largest berries that were growing in this shape and sold them separately at a higher cost because they knew those were the best berries in the field.

That is a great TIP!!!! I am gonna keep that in mind next time I buy them. I always looked for the packages with the perfect shaped ones init.
