Otocinclus need wood ?

hi all
i just bought 6 Otocinclus to fight again algae, i wonder if they need wood ? or other food ?

wood isn't necessary, they'll get food the other fish miss

Otos are vegetarians so I would try to grow algae in a separate container on some rocks or get some zuchini, romaine lettuce, or cucumber. Throw the veggies in the microwave for 30 seconds, cool them off under cold water until they're cool to the touch, and then clip it to the side of tank. My little buds are so fat it's crazy haha.

I also give my Oto's spirulina algae tablets as a supplement as I don't have an algae problem, just love Oto's. Perhaps it would be better to find the cause of the algae also.
