Extreme Tank Makeovers XTMO

This is a new contest that we are going to trial to see the response and if you think it's a fun competition. Have you been wanting to change your tank around and do something more interesting or exciting? Tired of the same old look, and want some motivation to do something wild? This is your contest!

This competition will be held every two months to give folks time to safely and responsibly make their tank over. Please note that you must use an existing tank to makeover, and not go out and buy a new tank. Both your before and after pictures should be sized to 800 pixels wide to put all entries at the same level. Wider photos will be reduced to 800 pixels wide. Photos less than 800 pixels wide remain as they are.

Some edits are allowed in your photo submissions such as cropping, tuning for sharpness and/or brightness, resizing to 800 pixels wide, and re-touching small areas of the photos (removing algae spots for example). All of these allow you to submit the best picture possible. Background changes, editing out other fish or features or creatures in the tank, and superimposing images from another photo into the original photo are not allowed. Your entry may be disqualified at the moderation team's discretion, if what we deem to be significant edits or alterations were made.

The entries will be numbered and anonymous and to keep the voting as objective as possible, no comments will be allowed in the voting poll that highlights or favors one photo over another.
