MOTM is Member of the Month
Each month anyone can nominate another member who you believe is the most helpful to the other members of the forum and the forum in general. It might be someone's:
* Knowledge of fish,
* Experience of keeping fish, plants, and/or sound technical knowledge of equipment,
* Insight into problems and providing sound recommendations,
* Constant willingness to help new members who have less experience in the hobby
You would also expect this person to always be polite, respectful, courteous, and friendly.
You must be a member of AC for at least 3 months before entering or nominating a member for MOTM. Members not meeting this criteria will be removed from nominations or their nomination removed.
Please nominate only one person for MOTM each month. Winners are for the year and not eligible to be nominated again until the following year.
Nominees must be in good standing during the entire nomination and voting process. If a person becomes ineligible for any reason during the voting process, the win goes to the next in line, as for all of our contests.
1st of the month - Nominations open
15th of the Month - Voting starts in a closed poll where no comments that highlight or favor one member over another are allowed to keep the competition as objective as possible.
24th - Voting closed.
25th - Winner Announced - there is only 1 winner in MOTM, although the runner up will receive points. In the event of a tie, the top two go head to head in a 3 day tie break vote.
Winning MOTM receives medal as well as 15,000 points. The runner up receives 10,000 points, but no medal.
Don't forget to vote in the contests even if you have not entered yourself. Your fellow members still need your votes.
