I got home from work today to find one of my mollies, hanging round in the plants(which is unusual) with its mouth open and white stuff growing? on the right side of its mouth. When I left for work 12hrs earlier the fish was completely fine. Anyone know what it is, how to treat it and if its contagious? Thanks in advance.

are you sure its something growing and not just something stuck in its mouth.

Yeah pretty sure, the only thing that colour would be the zuccini i put in, nothing from that would get stuck would it? and if so how would i get it out?

Sounds like fungus...
This link helped me greatly with sick fish ID's.

Check out the fugus part... does your fish look like that?
I had the same issue not to long ago with one of my mollys and I treated the tank with melafix and pimafix. Stuff worked great! (helped with a lot of other issues too)
Would you happen to have a picture of your fish?

Bad news the fish died in my 'quarantine' tank. It looked like its mouth fell apart, other mollies seem fine and healthy. Seems unusual but ahh well, couldnt get a photo cause digi camera is playing up. Thanks though!
