I seem to remember many many years ago, a fish keeper advising my dad not to use the AquaSafe with BioExtract.

His reasoning was that 1) it doesn't actually do anything, a healthy tank should have clear water anyways. 2) It's not a good idea to go switching between products. If you started without the BioExtract, continue using the product without it. If you started with the BioExtract, don't switch off it.

Could I just get some input on this? As far as I can tell, the BioExtract just seems like something that's meant to keep an uncycled tank from getting cloudy so the owner doesn't wonder what's up with their fish's water... Input?

A while back I was in a bind and ran out of water conditioner, the only thing my LFS had was AquaSafe BioExtract. I used it for almost two months at every water change on all my tanks and then switched back to Stress Coat+ with no ill affects.
