Im looking to get a more efficient light for my 55G planted and maybe up its wattage a bit. Just curious if the odyssea HO t5s are any good I mean they are less than half the price of other brands

Id naturally be replacing the bulbs with the 6700K versions :)

I like mine! I bought it off ebay for a good deal especially compared to name brand lights . It has 2 PC's and 1 metal halide with a combined wattage total of 380w. I also have a coralife 36" 96w PC which was only $50 less than the odyssea. So for the bank for your buck... its worth it IMO.

The fixtures are fine, but the bulbs are CRAP!

their halides suck (especially the ballasts) but the T5s are alright, just swap the bulbs
