African fish theme?

I'm just playing with my options...and enjoying my 'researching'...

If I plant my 75 g, do you know if a black ghost knife and an elephant nose would coexist well? My 11 year old son is in love with both species and I certainly don't mind them...

I've done a bit of reading and am getting conflicting information...

...but my tank HAS to be planted! That's not negotiable...:D

I had a elephant nose and black knife in the same 33g tank but it was with alot of caves and hiding spots

...and you never had issues with them? I'm still finding conflicting advice on compatibility...

They got along fine, but always had hiding places.

I happily had them for a few years, then they got big and sold them to a expert with my 33g

Elephant nose are very shy and sensitive to water conditions. I have heard of them coexisting peacefully with a lot of various tankmates, just make sure you have plenty of obstacles/hiding places. Also, they love to jump out of the tank!
