I have 2 of these fish which I belaieve are pregnant and have no idea on how to make them an area to lay their eggs and care for them, help.
I was told to have late, which ironically I have a piece of slate in my tank. Now I just need to know what to do. Please anyone with info help.
the tetras i am talking about have to black stripes on their sides.
At first I thought I was overfeeding them but after practically starving them they are still very fat and pregnant like.

They need a lot of plants and floating plants to spawn among. The eggs will fall to the bottom of the tank and might be eaten by the parents unless they are protected by a breeding raster. It is recommendeable to remove the spawning fish from the aquarium once the eggs has been deposited to keep the eggs and fry safe. They prefer dimmed lighting and pH 5.5-6 to breeed.

Let me knowig you want to know anything else.
