I'm getting ready to stock a 55g SE Asia biotope and would apprciate some input.

The tank is moderately planted w/ 2 Eheim 2213 canister filters & power head to simulate a river environment. The main fish I want to keep are clown loaches. However, I would also like to keep a school of zebra danios and a paradise fish. Would this be too much for a 55 gallon tank?

5 Clown loaches
6-10 zebra danio
1 paradise fish

Oh I think you're well within your limits.

Welcome to the Fabulous AC!
Those clown loaches will be fine in a 55 for a while but they will need a much larger tank not too far down the road.
Here is more info on them. They do get big!

i agree with northernguy,
they do get big,
and you need to rehome them to a bigger tank.

You will be a way bigger tank for the clowns. For a school of 5, 90g would be the minimum for just them alone.
