I've been adding some potassium nitrate to my tank for the past couple of days but all test are still coming up 0ppm. It's a fairly new test kit that worked fine while I was cycling my tank a few months ago. I've added enough to increase it to at least 5 ppm. I usually do the tests about an hour after I dose the tank. Its not possible that the plants are using the nutrients that quickly is it?
