Fungus meds and catfish

I always thought fungus meds would kill catfish thru their breathing it and thru their skin but I read something last night that makes more sense.

Fungal meds coat plastic decorations, driftwood, etc. When the catfish eats at night, it is consuming this medication. This is what makes this medication dangerous to bottom feeders.
