I've been browsing here for the past couple weeks trying to pick up some info where I can. I had an aquarium when I was younger and stopped keeping fish for a few years, but I just bought a 10g tank for my room so now I'm back into the hobby! I'm excited to be in a hobby that I can actually afford for once (my other hobbies are quite expensive, I haven't dropped them, but they are sometimes hard to justify). Anyways, I'm cycling the tank I've only had it for about a week, I have two tiger barbs in it and a teeny snail.
I have been observing the barbs' behaviour and neither of them are exhibiting any fin nipping or aggression towards each other. They do hide in the weeds quite a bit, but I often find them exploring the rest of the little tank. Interesting little fishes!!
I do small water changes every other day at the least and so far all has been well, a little bit of cloud in the water but I take that to be a good sign. I keep the tank at about 76-78 degrees farenheit. I'd appreciate any tips I could get and I am happy to have found this place as a resource.
