I remember a few of you guys were planning on getting ones of these things. After taking a look at it myself, and reading some counterclaims, I found a nice article that represents my thought and adds more.

Edit: EL OH EL, the thing is a pvc tube with cheap neodym magnets electrical taped to it!

Nah, I'm an engineering major. I would have been very suspicious of those claims. I just came across this article while looking for planted aquarium info and recalled several people thinking about getting one of these forums.

The companies just use fancy words for stuff thats cheap crap
