GBR and shrimps?

The LFS owner (whom I trust very much just not as much as dozens of experts across the world) mentioned Germann blue rams being incompatible with freshwater shrimp, but I've never heard of this before.

Is this true?

I keep shrimp with my GBRs. I've never seen them interacting other than the GBR chasing a shrimp off a pellet. My crayfish picks them off one at a time though, so every month I add more.

I also have some ghost shrimp with my GBR and it doesn't really pick on them.

I think its a 50/50 thing. I had a bolivian ram which is similar to german blues, and he ate one every so often, however, after he ate one or two he didnt pick on them anymore (must have tasted bad lol)

If you don't have adequate hiding for the shrimp the rams might feast at the molt though.
