Here are a few pics of my Haplochromis sp. "ruby"

In all these pics the male is faded, But when he is near his rock he get's a dark red top and a light green body. After they calm down a bit more the males color should get a lot better.

Yeah he was really nice and now he keeps that color most of the time to impress the girls lolthumbs2:

Here is a clear picture of the male flaring at the mirror, But this was the last time i put a mirror near the tank now that he keeps the color almost all the time.

Just today he was deep red with yellow and dark green with powder blue and orange on the dorsal.

The tank looks awesome! No wonder they were comfortable enough to spawn. I have a single male ruby green in my 55g. tank with mostly mbuna. Do you think he will eventually color up or does he need females to get good color?

Thanks! Victorians mostly stay dull unless they have a male or female to show off to. So you'll need to get some females to get the color out of him.:22:

I will try to get a new pic, But i am having a little algae prob, But the fish like it lol.
