Are digging, one of them specifically. She's completely burrowed under one of the large rocks. There's a huge pile of gravel right next to the entrance.

Does this mean she's making a nest where she can have babies? I think there's a male (black trim on his fins) who goes into the hole with her!

Am I going to be a grandparent here soon???

she's definitely making her 'territory' ... cichlids will do this all the time. she may be getting ready to spawn, or just 'going through the motions'......

Man, I dont remember posting this thread LOL... Most of my cichlids are Mbuna Malowi cichlids (I think lol)...

With mbuna it's usually the male that makes a nest under a rock.
