The lady down the hall had two in her 10 gallon!

What can I say? LOL I ended up with one of them. He'd better be happy with a 55 gallon but it has to be better than a 10.

Got a bad feeling I may end up with the other one eventually.

I told the lady........"oh my goodness. Do you know how big pleco's get" and she replies.......

It's OK. They're in a 10 gallon. HUH?

They are probably 4".

I'm guessing she's going by the rule of 'they only grow to match the tank their in'. More fish have lost their lives that way.

That's a complete sentence! Shut up!

LOL typical response. Hobbs, I hate to break it to you, but putting it in your 20gal doesnt make it any better:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

i know i know, I was just kidding, because I have seen that happen at a petco. They have a adopt me tank, and the guy just turned in a pleco and was like yeah its to big for my 20gal, and a guy walked in about 5min later and said "yeah i need some algae removed from my 30gal" I was like wow.

Happens all the time with me; cast-off fish at my door. Soon as people know I'm a fishkeeper, here come the mis-fit fish and tanks.

The petco near me has an adopt me tank too! Basically it's just the tanks they keep the live plants in. Any fish people bring back they put into there, like returns or other odd things people can't take care of any more. Got 7 neons and a few otos from there once for free. Couldn't believe how patient the guy was took out like half the potted plants just to get at them.

Four inch Pleco in a 10 gallon? I had a four inch Pleco in my 30 gallon and he trashed the place. Turns out that fin wasnt a fin, it was poop! Its like having a painter come into your house and make the walls pretty but trash the carpet....
