This may seem like a silly question, but I am really not sure. I have flake food that I feed my Danios and Platys, and I also have some freeze-dried bloodworms for a treat. When I feed them bloodworms should this be as an extra to the diet, in addition to their regular feedings? Or should I replace a meal with a serving of bloodworms? I have tried it both ways.

Also, I read that Zebra Danios need Vitamen D. I do this by mixing fish oil with some flakes. Does anyone know how often to do this? Daily, weekly, monthly or seasonally?

I feed my fish bloodworms once a week in place of a flake meal.

my carnivores get 3/4 of a bloodworm cube a week, and omnivores/herbivores 1/4 a week.

All my fish get krill, bloodworm, pellets, flakes, the carnivores get live cricket, and sometimes i give my plecos frozen squid

I will be adding to my fishes' diet. It appears that my Platys require more vegetable matter as well. They are doing a good job cleaning the Algae off my tank walls and fake plants - of course, now all the walls look weird with tiny Platy bites all over the Algae film.
