Adding fish

I have a new 3' tank set up for Malawi Cichlids. I put 3 fish in it a week ago and they are having a ball ( well it looks like it anyway). Just wondering how long I should wait before I add any more.

Every few weeks I guess. Make sure when you add fish you completely rearrainge the tank, so that every fish can carve out their own territory. You have to do that each time, even if it's only one fish you are adding.

is your tank cycled? if not wait to add more fish.

wait a few weeks before adding other fish,
let the filter catchup with the bio-load.

It depends on how you cycled your tank.If you built up a good bio-load you should be fine to add a few more.If you didn't cycle your tank properly you will have to wait until the tank can handle it.
