Saw some lemon tetras at the pet store yesterday...Really pretty little fish. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with them and if they would get along with dwarf cichlids. :fish2:

I have 7 lemon tetras and I like them. Sometimes they school together and sometimes they do their own thing. Right now a couple of them are chasing each other around. I don't know anything with thier compatability with the chiclids. I have danios, tiger barbs, rasboras, bristlenose plecos, and clown loaches and they are all one happy family

Which dwarf cichlids are you thinking about?

I haven't looked at the dwarf cichlids at any of my LFS's yet so I'm not sure what is going to be available to me...BUT, from looking online I like the cockatoo and the banded dwarf cichlids. I also like the apistogrammas. I just don't want my tetras to become lunch.

I love my lemons. They are a relatively new addition and a whole lot of fun. I think if you keep the lemons in a large enough school and have a large enough population of cichlids (so they concern themselves with one another and not the other fish) you should be okay.
