Well I called into the LFS yesterday and they had some kribs in (first time I've seen then here in my town! Only seen them in the Melbourne LFS's), they were so cute and I'd been thinking about getting some for my community tank. So I did. Put them in the 15G quarantine tank when I got home.

This morning I woke up to this.............

OK, I need to do some reading up again on what to do now! LOL, I did do some reading a couple of months ago aobut kribs when I first started thinking of getting them, but I expected a couple of weeks or months before they started laying eggs!
OK off to do some reading

Well I didnt really do anything, LOL. I'd had the water acidic and soft (I just used straight rainwater) because of the rams I got about a month ago, and I read in Dave's primer that even though they are african that they come from acidic and soft water, so I figured that they'd like it too. And it looks like they did!!!
I didn't even know if they were a "pair" as such, I just picked a boy and a girl who were kind of hanging out together.

I'm really excited! I'm going to be a Grandma!!!! (at 28, that's funny)

Congrats good luck.
Chances are the difference in the water they came from to yours triggered a spawn.

Well there is no sign of the eggs this morning, and they are both swimming around the tank, so maybe they ate them?

Most likely they did eat the eggs, they may not have even been fertile. You might have a pair, but if you picked up a random male and female it's unlikely. Moving fish into a new tank/environment often triggers spawning if they're well cared for in general. However, that doesn't mean they've settled in to the new tank and/or pair-bonded for successful spawning. You may get lucky, and they'll find each other suitable, but it's usually necessary to start with a group and let them choose their own mates.
