I do not have fish. It will be a long time before I can even think about getting fish.
I went back and forth trying to decide whether to join or not and decided to. I could not find some things out by just surfing through and doing forum searches. I always like to do my re-search on animals. And this will give me a long time to learn about them.
I have always liked fish. I could stare at a tank for hours if you let me. They seem to have a calming effect.

I don't have much time right now, but I'll hit you all with the questions later. ;)

Welcome to the AC! we are here to help! Starting your first aquarium ussually takes some time and that is good because it gives you time to research and learn enough before you actually get some water flowing, just ask everything you want to know and we will help you!

I wish it were so, but it will be a long time before I can (at the very least 4 years unless something happens). But I guess I am okay with that. It will give me ample time to learn, and for us to possibly move (we hope to move at least). We would not have anywhere in this house to put a fish tank since we have a 2 story house with a basement and there is no room on the main or second story and there is no place in the basement to put a tank, no matter the size.

Okay, for my questions:
Should I post them in the appropriate sub-forums or is it okay to post them here?

Welcome to A.C :D

I also read round and did the research for roughly 2 months before i even purchased my empty tank, you won't regret it. Even being pretty new to the hobby i have yet to have a major problem, and I attribute that to the fine people here at A.C that taught me everything i needed to know :)

You won't regret the research, that I can attest to.

Welcome to the forum. I hope your wait is not too long and that your circumstances allow you to get a tank soon. At least you will be well prepared.
