What would be the smallest tank to have pair or trio of bala sharks?

I agree. And since bala sharks are not catfish, I am moving your post.

LOL I was just wondering when hobbs was going to see that this is a type of minnow, now catfish. I say nothing smaller then a 210 because they need groups. One little search on google could have gave you this info. Try using it.

If you read about bala's, you'll see the average tank size for them is around 8 inches but they can grow to a foot easily. The problem with bala's is they are NUTS, swim like manics, run into the walls of the tank, bang into decorations and keep other fish stirred up in the tank. Also big jumpers.

I totally love balas (that are really not sharks at all) but a huge tank is needed for them if they are kept as they should be, in schools.
