im lookin for some active fish to put with my oscar. any ideas would be nice

Definitely not a bolivian ram, the oscar will eat him. Only certain larger fish can live with an oscar.

Oscars grow quite large, the Bolivian Rams will only grow to about 3 inches so i probably wouldn't go with the Bolivian Rams because you might get a bit of aggression towards the smaller fish, i have read that other similar sized cichlids can be put with them. I'm not really up with the cichlids but someone else might be able to help.
Other options are some Silver Dollars, they grow quite big.
And i'm pretty sure that Tin Foil barbs can go with them to.
I'm sure someone will have some other ideas though.thumbs2:

What size is your tank?? That will also have a lot of influence on the choice of fish you can take...

Bolivians and any other dwarf cichlids are a big no-no as they are peaceful and too small ... you would need to look at the bigger more aggressive cichlids

You could go with JDs,Silver dollars,Severums.Just make sure any fish you go with is about the same size as your Oscar.
If your oscar has been alone for any length of time you may have some difficulties.Depends on the size and attitude of the O as well.
Some grow into their attitude and like to live alone.You may need a bigger tank to keep the peace down the road.:22:

We have our oscars with a Jack Dempsey, Firemouth, Salvini, and a Texas. For the most part the oscars keep to themselves and swim around togther everywhere they go. But they are the kings of the tank and they know it!! They really do have their own personalities so it just depends on your fish's personality.

As for tankmates, I would suggest a green terror, texas or jack dempsey. They all have amazing colors and are big and aggressive enough to handle themselves.
