View Full Version : Aquarium for school

Hello! I am so happy I found this forum. The school where I work has a 135 gallon aquarium that has been in storage for years that we would like to set up again.

All that remains is the tank. Everything else has vanished. I've found a tremendous amount of information on this site and finally joined to say thank you. I've enjoyed reading many of the threads.

Hope you can get it up an running. I think a fish tank could be a great biological learning tool.

Welcome to the site. 135g is a huge tank to start up, should be fun. Really opens up the possibilities on what you can keep. Since you mentioned it was in storage for a few years, I would really take that tank and test it for leaks outdoors or somewhere where you don't mind it possible failing. See if any of the silicone is peeling or cracked.

Do you plan on having the students all take part in the care of the tank and fish?
