Just finished testing our waters and AMM,NITRITE, and NITRATES are at zero. pH is at 7.6 which is normal for here.
Anyhow, my current family consists of 3 ID's(which i rarely see), 2 gouramis, and 1 clown loach.
Any suggestions on what i should add???............
man im so happy the cycles finally over!thumbs2:

More than one clown loach as they are family fish.
Congrats on the cycling.

3 id's is alot. Those puppies get over a foot long and can smash filters and heaters.
But, a school of six albino cories is always cool

yea, i know that NOW...heheh....
problem is, when they do get huge, how the $%^& do i catch em?!.....they're like lightning!....
As for my loach, i realize i gotta get him a companion or two. Wondering though, will they school with other types of loaches?....kuhlis, weather, etc etc., or should i get him another clown buddy?
and i'll look into the albino cories cocoa, thanks.
I was actually at my LFS, lookin at some bolivian rams, and some tetras which caught my eye. They were all pink! No name on the tank as the store just got them in, but nice nevertheless.

In order to catch a couple fish of mine, I have to take every darned thing out of the tank during a water change to catch it. Loaches are faster than blazes, too, and will jump out of the pail you put them in. One definately has to do this moving about prior to planting a tank!
I don't know what size your tank is but loaches can get quite large. In captivity, they average around 6-8 inches but others have been reported to get HUGE.....like over a foot. They live 15 years so have many years to get to be whoopers and never stop eating.
I always think mine aren't growing much until I saw the new ones at the store the other day and I had to chuckle. Mine were that size when I got them a year ago and are now 5 times the size of those in the store. I have 7. I'm sure in time they will have to be divided into two large tanks.
If you have a small tank and have no plans for a large tank, you had better stick with what you have altho it will always be rather shy without their own kind. I doubt they will mix with other loaches. Most fish stick to their own species.

my i.d was a sissy. I could never have lights on with him, and if i scared him or i turned on a desk lamp he would cower in a corner or pry himself under a mossball.
He was a challenge to catch, but not a challenge as my aulonocara albino was

I would add more Clown loaches. You will really enjoy watching what they do together. They are a very amusing fish.
Congrats on the tank being fully cycled!

True enough Severus, like i stated, i did have 3 at one point, and it was quite the site.
Me and the wife are going tonight to purchase a few fish. They had some pink tetras that she was crazy over, so it'll be a few of those, some more clowns, and possibly a pleco or two.
