Good and bad news

Bad News I think I may have tail rot in my tank. I just had one swordtail die today and his tail was short. I also have a Peral Gourami with a short tail and another Sword Tail has a Slight Slight bit of tail missing. I also have a Peral Gourami that looks like it been hit and is having a hard time swiming upright. I also though it maybe the 2 3-4'' Silver dollars doing this when the light is off. This is my 29 Gallon and no other fish are the type to do this.


Good news I got my Brakish water up and Runnig and 3 Bumble Bee Gobies in the tank. I like how they look. They also remind me of Catfish Pleco(or how ever their called) Bumble Bees do the samething. They stick to the glass and suck on the alge.

That sucks about the finrot. I hopeyou can find a solution. Cool about the brackish aquarium, that's awesome.

Dose Melafix for a week or so three times a day. That should combat the fin rot.

Melafix is great, but for a betta i did something weird someone suggested, DONT TRY IT

You flip the fish out, put it on a clean paper plate, and put meurochrome on it.

Do not try it though, it stresses the fish bad. I just tried it because my betta got terrible fin rot and the tail was red and i was desperate after 1 month of meds.

Once again, do not try it!

I think I know Why Every one in my 29 Gallon are having problems. There are no signs of a Disease except lose of tail fin, all meters are great. I tested PH, Nitrite, Nitrate and Amonia. Except the Peral Gouramis All the other fish injured are swimming fast and upright. I think Something at night is doing this to the fish. I dout it is a SWord attacking a SWord. The Giant Dianos never even get near any other fish except their own. I also always see the Silver Dollars by themselfs and sometimes hiding, but it maybe them since their the biggest in the tank. I thought the Peral Gouramis were very calm, but today saw them fighting so it maybe them.
